Here, we offer exciting adventures for ATV or snowmobile enthusiasts looking to explore the stunning landscapes of Central Newfoundland. With ur experienced and friendly guides, guest can embark on thrilling guided tours of various enchanting areas.
60-80 Kms; 5-6 hour duration
Mount Peyton is one of the highest mountain peaks in our province with an elevation of about 450 meters. The view from atop the mountain provides a panoramic view of the countryside, with a view extending to approximately 30km in all directions.
Guests can expect to see caribou, moose, rabbits, and birds of various species, including Partridge and Grouse on their trip.
This trail is accessible by the groomed winter skidoo trail (NI
Snowmobile trail Pass will be required), or a recreational vehicle such as a quad or side-by-side.
100-150 kms; 6-8 hour duration
This tour will take us along the NL Trail-ways /rail-bed to the Town of Bishop's Falls, a major stop for the Newfie Bullet Train during its travels across the Island. We will travel along the Exploit's River, crossing over a three-span Tressel spanning one of the Island's three largest Rivers. Time permitting, we will continue to Grand Falls- a town which was a major producer of pulp and paper in NL. Following a lunch and boil-up along the river, your Guide will lead you back to the Resort via a different route, thus completing the loop.
150 km; duration 8 hours
This is the longest Tour offered by our Guides, taking Visitors north and east of the Resort to the Community of New- Wes-Valley. Your Guide will lead you through some of the best trouting ponds and brooks in all of Central NL. The Route takes the group along the trail-way eastward to Gander, and then takes a northerly turn along a groomed trail and woods roads towards the Kittiwake Coast (Straight Shore). Your Guide will provide lunch, fire, fishing and berry picking. Depending on the season and conditions, Visitors may also see Icebergs which frequent this area during the summer months.
60 kms; 4 hours duration
This tour will follow the NL Trailway for a short distance to nearby Appleton and will visit the exploratory Gold Mine site with the potential to become North America's most prolific gold finds. Exploration has been ongoing for some years, with many recent drilling results yielding positive results for Gold. From there, the Guide will lead you across cut-overs and woods roads which allow visitors to stop and pick fresh blueberries and partridgeberries when in season. The tour will continue on to Joe Batts Pond where, if conditions allow, guests can share a lunch and boil-up while fishing through the ice in winter (February-April),or Trout fishing along the shores from (May-September)
120 kms, 7-8 hour duration
This tour leads to the crash site of the 1946 Sabena Airlines DC-4 from Belgium. Approaching Gander International Airport from Shannon Ireland, the aircraft went down approximately 35 kilometers south of Gander. There were 27 passengers killed in this accident, while 16 passengers and 1 crew member survived. Many in the aviation world believe this to have been the first civilian airline crash in the history of aviation travel. Those who died in the crash were buried on site in a cemetery created next to the planes remains.
The cemetery was named St. Martin-in-the Woods after the first medical doctor to respond. Parts of the plane's fuselage are remain at the crash site.

This tour takes guests into the heart of central Newfoundland. We will cross many bogs and woods roads, which were used by the Bowaters Logging company many years ago. The company operated in central NL ,and had employed hundreds of loggers and forestry workers from surrounding communities. We will pass by an Outfitters lodge and numerous cabins along this route. Following a fire and boil-up, we will return to the resort along a different trail, completing our route
120 kms, 7-8 hour duration
This tour will lead Visitors meandering through the country via the NL Trailway and many former woods roads.
This area offers a prime opportunity to see Caribou, Moose, Black Bears and other wildlife. During the Winter, ice-fishing will be available for our guests, with lunch and boil-up scheduled for "Harv Green's" Pond. Following the rest stop, visitors will return to the lodge.
70 kms; 4 -5 hours duration
This tour will take Participants east to Glenwood and Appleton where your guide will lead you along the shores of Gander Lake - one of the deepest Lakes in North America. For most of the year, access to many of the Lake's sandy coves provides a welcome boil-up and beach fire. This is one of our easier and more scenic trails, passing by the Gleneagles area of Gander Lake.
This Tour winds through an extensive Birch Forest - beautiful in both summer and winter- offering fantastic views of Mt. Peyton and Gander Lake. Returning westward to Glenwood, you will travel along the western shores of Gander Lake following an old woods road originally built by Bowater's Logging Company. Careless Cove is our destination for a break and rest stop before returning to the Resort.
60 kms; 4-hour duration
This excursion will take Visitors to the outport community of Lewisporte - once a maritime hub for passenger and cargo ships traversing to the communities along the Labrador coast. Following the Trailway, we will pass numerous cabin developments where Local residents enjoy their leisure time. The trail passes through extensive stands of Birch trees - beautiful in both Summer and Fall.
If conditions permit, berry-picking (both Blueberries and Partridgeberries) in Summer and Fall, and ice-fishing during the Winter months, are planned activities.
110kms; 8 hour duration
This route will follow an access road to Interior Newfoundland - once the heart of all logging operations in the Area. This route will lead us to a tributary of the Gander River (Northwest Gander River) where summertime Salmon fishing is a favorite recreational activity by many, including your Guides. Guests with approved Salmon Licenses will be led to popular and named pools along this stretch of the River. Side roads and trails allow access to many beaches where a scheduled lunch and boil-up will take place. Much of this particular excursion uses a forest-access road. There will be other traffic, and public users, therefore, more care and attention to speed and traffic will be crucial.
